Various possibilities for location are available in Emmen’s city centre. Just south of the city centre and adjoining Noordbarge is Emmen’s office park Kantorenpark Emmen. Meanwhile, plans have been developed for the construction of several office units at a location on the Hondsrugweg opposite the Westertoren and the Lindenhof. In the near future, the Emmen-Zuid/A37 commercial services axis will offer space for locating offices. This site is an excellent location, right next to the motorway now under construction and adjoining the new Rietlanden and Delftlanden residential areas. The site also offers space for business clustering based on the types of businesses and their outward appearances. At a site adjoining the Scheperziekenhuis (hospital), the municipality has reserved land for locating companies affiliated with the hospital. This ‘allied medical park’, with its pond and landscaped zones, will have a park-like setting.
